Smart Miles is $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year — roughly a third less than MileIQ, whether you pay monthly or annually ($90/yr). Everything is included at every price point: unlimited drives, CSV exports, web dashboard, and auto-classification. No hidden tiers.

Yes — and on Android it's noticeably better. Smart Miles uses motion detection plus GPS to detect when you start driving, records a road-snapped route, and works reliably in the background even when the app is closed. Android users who've struggled with MileIQ's background tracking will notice the difference immediately.

Smart Miles has three layers of auto-classification: frequent trip rules (recurring routes auto-classify), work hours (trips during your defined schedule become Business automatically), and swipe-to-classify for everything else. All three are included — no premium upsell. Set them up once when you switch and the app handles the rest.

If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, cancel through your store subscriptions, not inside the MileIQ app. If you subscribed directly on mileiq.com, sign in to the web dashboard and cancel from your account settings. Either way, your existing data stays available for the rest of the billing period.
